The history of both the development of the Sonic Laboratory and the concept of Auto-Composing music started at a time that electronic musical equipment was only for studios or very rich musicians (1976) and there was hardly any literature to get about building the electronics yourself for this purpose. When I started to design and build my own modules, I hardly knew anything but literature slowly became available and I learned quickly by experimenting a lot. In the early eighties I was an expert in analog Synthesizer and Audio electronics and started to rebuild my modular system. The photo shows you the condition of the system in 1987. An exclusive system with many little inventions - all together creating a great modular system.
